Each mala is comprised of 108 beads (plus one Guru bead) to be used for Japa meditation. All are handmade with love fair trade in Mama India, near the sacred Ganges. The beads are hand-knotted together, and tassels lovingly handmade of cotton. All production is done by traditional mala making family, who has been in this work for many generations, where they take the workmanship very seriously.
